As crazy as it sounds, Craig and Nick have been recording new songs and you can be the first on your block to get a taste of Trunk's new material by purchasing your own copy of the "Fall" single. Swing by the Store page for more info and to buy or contact the nearest member of Trunk.
There have been quite a few changes in the magical world of Trunk . . . First of all Carlos is now in the Army. Unfortunately that means that he cannot play with us on account of him living in another state. His fabulous bass lines and sense of humor will be missed deeply. Matt is also leaving the fold, but he's only going to KSU. Craig and Nick will continue to perform as Trunk.
You've listened to Sunrise Pipe Dreams long enough, now it is time to see Trunk live. We will be performing our first real gig at Refuge (the old Cinema 8 on Santa Fe) on Friday, March 3 at 7:30 PM. There is a $3 cover charge. Please come and check it out. For more live show information check the Live Performances page periodically.
The band previously known as Five Jill Trunk will henceforth be known as Trunk. There are a few reasons for the name change. Craig hated Five Jill Trunk. Nick and Craig both thought that the name was too long and that it was a pain to explain the reasoning behind it to people. Please email us to tell us what you thing of the name change.
Today is the release date of Trunk's debut album Sunrise Pipe Dreams. The album was recorded in two days at Beaver in a Box Studios and includes eleven tracks. Guest appearances include Alan Eisman, Paul Peterson, Ryan Conley, and many more! Swing by the Store page or contact the nearest member of Trunk to get a copy of the CD for $7.
Today Trunk went into Beaver in the Box Studios for their first recording session. The band spent about three-and-a-half hours recording seven songs: "Our Lady of Perpetual Motion", "Queen of Dismay", "You Never", "No Way Home", "Heavy-handed", "She's on the Rebound", and "Missing Peoples". Alan "Phish" Eisman and Paul "The Subdivider" Peterson swung by the studio and added a few dazzling background vocals. It is expected that only one or two more sessions will be required to complete the album. Trunk is proud to announce that the band is in the preproduction stage of its debut album and recording is scheduled to begin at Beaver in a Box Studios in a couple of weeks. The band has narrowed their repetoire to fifteen songs and from there will choose the twelve that will be on the album. The CD, which is tentitively titled Sunrise Pipe Dreams, will hopefully be released in January. It will contain serious songs instead of Trunk's famous comedy work. More information will be posted as it is made available. We here at Trunk would like to announce three additions to our extendend family. Rich Sparks is the new Trunk Road Manager. Kudos to Rich. Jeremy Cline is now the Trunk Fan Club. Congratulations, Jeremy. Finally, Joycelyn Hunt is the Trunk Yoko. Um, good for you, Joycelyn . . . I guess. We are sure that none of our new recruits will shirk their responsibilities. After two months of web inactivity we are back with a vengeance (and a new web site). On a sidenote, if you have longed to see the Peak/Fasulo web site and have been unable to reach such a glorious location, have no fear, we're still there and will continue to update it as well. Back on the mainnote (Bb if you must know) we hope you enjoy this intellectually enhanced and digitally remastered Trunk Interactive Happiness Zone.
